Chana dal Payasam / kadle bele Payasa

Ingredients :

Chana Dal - 1 cup
Jaggery - 1 Cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tbs
Milk - 1 cup

For Seasoning :

Ghee - 2 tbs
Cashews (split) - 6 cashews
Raisins - 1 tbs

Preparation :

Cook Chana dal for 5 whistles and when done drain the water and keep aside.
Smash the dal a little and add jaggery to it.
Now cook till the jaggery is dissolved.Once the jaggery is dissolved and mixed well add milk cardamom powder and let it boil.When it starts boiling add the seasoning and garnish.
Chana dal Payasam is ready to enjoy..

* Tip : Drained water can be used to prepare kattina saaru (Look for my recipe)
