Mirchi Bajji (Stuffed Banana pepper pakora) Recipe

Ingredients :

For Batter :

Chickpea flour (Besan flour) - 1 Cup
Rice flour - 2 tbs
Salt - To Taste
Ajwain seeds - 1/2 tbs
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tbs
Baking Soda - A pinch

Now add water and mix it into a fine batter.Don't add more water,make the batter to medium consistency.
Now set it aside and prepare the mix for stuffing.

For Stuffing :

Roasted peanut powder / roasted chana dal (Putana) powder - 5 tbs
Coriander powder - 1/2 tbs
Red Chilli powder - 1/4 tbs
Garam Masala - 1/4 tbs
Salt - To Taste

Now on the other side grind a mixture of cilantro leaves and cumin seeds.

Add this grinded paste to the above mix and add little water and mix well.

Preparation :

1) Wash and slit the banana peppers.

2) Now stuff the paste inside it and keep aside.


3) Now heat oil, dip the stuffed peppers in the batter and fry them to golden brown on a medium flame.

Mirchi Bajji are ready to serve.Enjoy it when hot with chopped onions and you can also enjoy it with Girmit.
