Ingredients :
Roasted Chana Dal(hurkadle,putani)-2 cups
Sugar-2 cups
Water-1/2 cup
Cardamom powder-As required for flavor
Ghee
Grated coconut (dried)
Preparation :
Prepare roasted chana dal into a fine powder and keep aside
Now take a bowl,add water and sugar and boil it.
Take some amount of water in a glass and drop the sugar solution into it .
See that u get a tread like line of sugar syrup.
Them remove it from flame n immediately mix the powder of roasted chana dal and stir it to get a medium consistency.
Immediately Take a plate,apply a thin layer of ghee to it and add the prepared sweet on the plate n spread it.Now sprinkle grated coconut on it n cut them into a diamond shapes
Barfi is ready and can be served when cool...
