Ingredients :
Urad Dal-2 cups
Green Chillies(Chopped)-2
Ginger(Chopped)-1/4 tbs
Cilantro leaves Chopped-As needed
Salt-As per Taste
Sodium Bicarbonate(Baking Soda)-A pinch
Oil-For Frying
Preparation :
Soak Urad Dal for 8 hrs or overnight.When soaked grind it into a fine paste by adding very little water so that the batter is thick and not liquid.When done add Chopped Chillies,Ginger,Salt,Baking Soda,Cilantro leaves and mix well.Now apply some water to your hand and take some batter with your four fingers and make a hole in the center with your thumb and fry them in oil till they turn golden brown in colour.
Medu Vada's are ready to serve with Coconut Chutney when hot.
